How to Decorate Easter Bunny Cupcakes
Supplies:
Decoration Prep:
Chop the shredded coconut into small pieces and place in a bowl.
Melt the white candy melts in the microwave and add to a plastic squeeze bottle. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, draw and fill in bunny ear shapes with the melted white chocolate to form ears. Add the pink nonpareil sprinkles right away to the center of the ears. Set aside to harden (at least 10 minutes).
Lightly cover the spaghetti with black food coloring or black edible food marker and set aside to dry. (The food marker is much less messy!)
To Decorate:
Use a knife to frost a cupcake with white frosting and dip in coconut to completely cover.
Pro tip: Use white food coloring to make the white frosting extra white.
Add eyes (mini M&M candies), nose (large pink heart sprinkle), and mouth (pink jimmies sprinkles).
Stick 2 ears into the cupcake at a slight angle. Cut small pieces of spaghetti for the whiskers and push into the cupcake gently. (You can also use just black jimmies sprinkles.)
How to Decorate Spring Chick Cupcakes for Easter
Decoration Prep:
Color the frosting green (cupcake base — can be any color you like), yellow (chick body), dark yellow or orange (feathers), and another shade of yellow (more feathers). You will need decorator bags with the following tips/colors:
Melt a small amount of orange candy melts in the microwave and add to a decorator bag. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, pipe the legs/feet for the chick cupcakes. Let harden at least 10 minutes.
To Decorate:
Use a knife to frost a cupcake with green frosting (or whatever color you choose).
Pipe a large mound of yellow frosting using the #1A large round tip, then a smaller mound on top of that using the #12 medium round tip.
Add beak (orange daisy sprinkle) and eyes (black pearl sprinkles).
Pipe small tufts of feathers on top of the chick’s head using #3 tip and #2 tip in orange/yellow.
Carefully stick the orange chocolate legs into the chick’s body.
